I'm Cameron King, a full stack web developer.
Recently graduated from BrainStation's web development bootcamp, I'm ready to start the next chapter in my career.
My passion for learning, creating, and experimenting is channeled through my love for web development. My love for the outdoors manages to work it's way into just about everything I do.
Take a look at what I've been up to lately
Designed and developed the new website for the brand new Abottsford Canucks AHL team. Along with a customized CMS enabling them to add new content keeping fans engaged and up to date on everything from the latest news to live scores and team roster.
A fantasy sports app for the outrageous smash hit online baseball sim Blaseball. As my capstone project at BrainStation Flantasy Blaseball was built in under two weeks using React, Firebase, Node, and Express. New features and updates will continue to be added regularly.
BrainStation's interdisciplinary twenty four hour hackathon, during which my cohort had the priviledge of working with Shutterstock. Our team, consisting of Data Scientists, UX Designers, and Web Developers, decided to build upon Shutterstock's existing stock music search interface. Adding features that would make it easier for content creators to browse and quickly find the perfect track.
A site template built using React and Gatsby, while the content is queried from Contentful CMS using Graphql. Continuous deployment with Netlify, Git, and webhooks update any changes and publish new content to the sites live production branch in moments.
